Excellent indeterminant large-fruit variety for greenhouses for personal use. Medium-early.
Sow for seedlings in March-April, plant per 50x70 or 45x80 cm in May.
Grow with 1 or 2 stems, breaking all lower branches out. Begin harvesting 90 days after planting. Tomatoes are red-coloured, weigh 230-250 (up to 350 g), are juicy and have thin skin.
1,0 g = 300-400 seeds.
* Preparing tomato seeds for sowing.
First of all, calibration, disinfection and hardening of seeds are carried out.
To reduce the susceptibility of future plants to diseases, sorted seeds are placed for 10-20 minutes in a 1-2% solution of potassium permanganate (5-10 g of potassium permanganate per 1 litre of water). Then they are washed and dried. A good effect is the heating of the seeds before dressing. To do this, the seeds are placed in a gauze bag and heated for 2-3 hours near the oven, on a heating battery or dipped in hot water (+60°C) for 20 minutes. For hardening, etched in potassium permanganate, seeds in a gauze bag are placed in a glass jar and buried for 3 days in snow or put in a refrigerator at a temperature of + 1 + 3 ° C.
Sowing tomato seeds is carried out in boxes, filling them with a soil mixture of the following composition: 2 parts of compost, 1 part of sawdust or peat and 1 part of sand.
Add to the soil mixture in a bucket: 15 g of ammonium nitrate, 20 g of double superphosphate, 10 g of potassium sulfate or 2 cups of wood ash.
The mixture is poured into boxes, levelled, slightly compacted and watered, grooves are made 1-2 cm deep at a distance of 5-7 cm from one another and seeds are sown in them in the interval of 3-4 cm from each other (3.0-5.0 g per box).
Close up the seeds to a depth of 1-1.5 cm. Before germination, the boxes are kept covered at a temperature of + 20 + 25 ° C, watering in the morning and evening with water heated to + 20 + 25 ° C. As soon as shoots appear, shelters are removed from the boxes and placed by the window for the day, and at night - in a warmer place.
Seedlings are watered once a day, first heated to + 22 ° C, and then with water at room temperature.
